This second title in the collection "Museum of Pharmacy - 5000 years of History", edited by Edições Inapa with the Museum of Pharmacy, is dedicated to the successful fight against disease and pain and to the first therapeutic substances found by man at the beginning of history of humanity.

Authored by Paula Basso and Luís Manuel de Araújo, this widely illustrated and documented work takes as its starting point the very rich collection of the Pharmacy Museum, regarding pharmacy and medicine in Pre-Classical Antiquity, especially in Mesopotamia and Egypt, and also in so-called traditional cultures.
